I’m Jacqueline (Jax) Mennenoh, the heart and soul behind Kade’n Kian Photography. I’m so glad you’re here! My cozy home studio, lovingly named after my two wonderful sons, Kaden and Kian, is nestled in the heart of Waukesha, Wisconsin. My mission is to help you feel confident, celebrated, and deeply connected to the ones you love most through beautifully crafted, hand-retouched portraits. I specialize in contemporary and fine-art photography that honors maternity, motherhood, family, and children. I also love working with high school seniors and creating authentic personal branding portraits.
With over 20 years of experience as a Creative Director and Graphic Designer, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for beautiful, balanced compositions, which I bring into my photography and my refined, painterly style of retouching.
I like to describe my overall style as ‘remconfair’—a little bit Rembrandt, a touch of Contemporary, and a dash of Vanity Fair. At the heart of it all is my passion for creating. I love what I do, and I can’t wait to craft something special with you!

Jax is an active member of The Portrait System powered by Sue Bryce, continuously learning to master her craft. She has earned Associate Level in the Portrait Masters Accreditation and The Icon International Photography Awards programs, where she has received numerous Silver and Bronze Awards, and now has her sights set on Master Level. Her work has also been recognized in a wide range of international photography print and online magazines.

THE START
KKP’s journey began in late 2016 when Jax crafted a superhero mask for her young sons, Kaden & Kian. Featuring two back-to-back letter Ks resembling wings, this design symbolized imagination, strength, and the power to nurture and uplift their creative spirits. Inspired by this symbolism, Jax decided to pursue her own dreams and immersed herself in photography education. With unwavering support from her husband, she invested in equipment, honed her skills, meticulously built a beautiful portfolio, and in September 2017, proudly opened the doors to her home studio—named in honor of her beloved boys, Kade'n Kian Photography by Jax Mennenoh.
A simplified version of the original mask now serves as the focus and brand for Kade'n Kian Photography, pulsing a constant reminder to never stop chasing your dreams!
Bits and Pieces
I adore quality time and snuggles with family, above all.
We push each other with DIY projects, playing outdoors, travel, dreaming of travel, and healthy eats.
I love the sound of rain, and sleeping with the window open.
I love Boxers, especially our late dog Gribbin and our current white Boxer, Rockefeller (aka Rocky, Rick-Rock, Rockstar…the list goes on ;))
I refuel with alone time, and quiet external and internal stimulus with walks, cycling, and running.
Water, kombucha, and lots of coffee keep me movin…I love when my husband surprises me with a morning cup on the vanity!
